this entry was supposed to be written a week ago, bt due to some cock-up my blogger or comp, it didnt happened.

anw, a promise is a promise. and i promised to bring Cass to the zoo and i did. hehhe! miow! woof! roar! mbek! moo! ssss! ahhhhhhhhh! ( this is when Cass shouted when a butterfly chased her around!)

so the day started when both of us woke up at 8.45am. we met at AMK mrt at 11 and took 138 to the zoo! when we arrived, we went straight to the CHICKENS! at kfc. LOL!

so we entered to the haven of animals and the story begins wehn we saw the monkey high above at the trees...

the monkeys told us to go see the wise camel.

the one with his 14 hours of soccer

From 8am till 10pm, it was soccer through out. 14 hours of soccer. and hell yeah i felt good!

played a tournament in old-school Ang Mo Kio and got knocked out in the group stages. showed some pride and i scored 2 goals in the 3 games! get goodies like 2 waterbottles, 2 towels and a notebook. hahaha!

after that, it was time to play with my friends at Woodlands. it was all fast and furious! i just dont understand why people would hack my legs when they dont get the ball. like hello! i know im freaking faster than u can even blink ur eyes.

got smacked by a ball in the face with my specs on. another reason why i should change my specs to a new one.

we relaxed and was telling each other damn funny stories. sec school stories. where we locked up our F&N teacher in the kitchen lab. n when i hid the papers behind the fridge so that we couldnt have the test. thank god i didnt get the suspension!

n there was a time when i got called up by the disciplinary master when i did the unthinkable pole-dance in school. i could still remembered what he said to me which is...

"TOO MUCH VIDEOS RIGHT?!"

in the midst of sengkang where an unsuspecting victim didn't know what he is in for that night, something happened that made him realised that maybe he could be easily mistaken for what he is not. this is the story about 2 guys..

i was at sengkang coz i just sent Cass home and was sitting down at the bus stop while waiting for the bus 161 to get home. i saw a chinese man, about 40-50 years old, crossed the street and made his way to the same bus stop and sat next to me. i took a glance at him and was surprised that he gave me a smile. so i smiled at him too.

so the conversation started like this:

uncle: u send your gf home is it?
an-nur: err.. ya..
uncle: oh.. where she stay?
an-nur: somewhere around here..
uncle: ohh.. so u still schooling?
an-nur: yah.. ngee ann poly..
uncle: ohh okok..

the bus came and we both boarded the bus. i sat at the last seat and the man sat the seat infront of me. he sat slightly slanted like he wanted to face me. he kept smiling at me so i just smiled back. at the next stop, alot of ppl alighted so there was a few empty seats upfront. again i was surprised when he asked me to sit infront with him. i did.

so during this part of the journey, he asked me whether i had kissed my gf before. i said yes. then he asked..

uncle: then u got play play before?
a: huh? what do u mean?

he proceed to show a finger which penetrates a hole he made with his hand.
a: no!

i didnt want to continue on the topic of sex so i asked whether he's married.
uncle: yes..

SUDDENLY, he touched my thigh and said..
uncle: wow.. muscles arh...
a: err... no... (pushing his hand away)
uncle: this also so muscles ah.. ( touching my hairy calf)
a: err... no no... its not muscular...

well, im sure most ppl know that im not that muscular... but i do have a broad chest.. hehheh...

so i asked him again...

finally i asked the bonus question.

in which he gave me an unbonus answer.

half the journey has passed and the uncle is still not finished with his questions.

a: yup.. and yes it is very nice!

so at this point of time, i was already laughing to myself. im not saying that this man is crazy but it is quite funny the way he said all those things. my stop came and i alighted not forgetting to say goodbye to that old man. he said goodbye too!

i am VERY SURE that some of u have read Cass's version of the story of the birthday Girl. now it's time to read my side of the story of the birthday Girl. this blog specially goes out to the 8 people who had attended Del's birthday party (orchestrated by Cass and Bee lian) which is located at a neighbourhood park cum garden cum bbq corner opposite Woodlands Stadium. hahahaha!

the people who have made Del's birthday memorable - Cass, Bee lian, Stella, Wanlin, Xiao Que, Jannah, Hafiizah and Nadiah.

it was all fun and laughter with a little touch of touchingness in del's party. although the party was somehow a very last minute plan (thx to a call at 1am in the morning), i am somehow satisfied that the party was a success. kfc and a cake is the sumptuos dinner of the night.

i had my dental appointment yesterday and i was told that after 2 more appointments, i can have my braces taken off already! yahooooo!! well, after 5 years of wearing braces, i cant wait to see how it all turns out.

okay if u're wondering why the HELL it has been 5 years, thats because i delayed my appointment for a year and a half. let's see whether it tallys until now..

being a middle man in this book trade service has certainly made me feel that i can be a salesman. and i don't have to say "LELONG!!!" or "CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!" which sounds so lika an Ah Pek selling underwears and panties. yes there is such shops in Marsiling.

question of the day will be "WHY do the Freshies want cheaper books?"

-because they just want it cheap.
-because they see i'm the kind of a nice person that they think they can easily negotiate or bargain with. ( i can help you bargain with the owner!)
-because they think that since there's alot of FON books are going to be sold by the seniors, it makes them wonder why do they need to buy it.
-because someone forgot to put the CD back in the book

so i figured that with all these bargaining and complaining and whatsoever, i decided to give it a fixed price for all the books. and if the freshies want to get a better deal (for themselves of course), then you guys will have to negotiate with the owners itself.

im always tired when i got back from sch. my friends told me the same thing too. and they say the weather is to blame. right.

i don't mind going to the market in the morning. but if your mum hits u with the pillow just to wake you up, you'll probably feel slightly angry. as for me, i felt SLIGHTLY reluctant to go already.

anyway, i still went to the haven of fishes, veges, meats and poultry with her. bought fishes and meats. pineapples and salts. the finale was having a breakfast of Soto Ayam and Iced Teh Tarik.
let's just say it was a very sedap (delicious) meal.

while i may not be the best person to see someone else's fault, i definitely know what is right and what is wrong. i know the line between a brother and friend. or friends if you want to put it that way.

you see, i have seen malay, indian and chinese dramas that always emphasized the importance of family. i've seen dramas about a person who has both his sibling and a friend having problematic issues of their own. sometimes, it is hard to see the line between what is right and what is wrong. to say words which might help the matter can be the words that can hurt both.

so i guessed being abit matured help you see things in perspectives. of course, i do have someone special to help me with that. but i know i can never be forced to lose a friendship, let alone to make enemies.

my friend, shariz, and i were waiting at the staircase at fadhil's block. we had to wait until his parents go out so that we could secretly go to his house. we were gonna play soccer at the badminton court but it was raining heavily. which explains why we wanted to go to his house coz it was kinda cold outside. ANYWAY, while we were still waiting, i received a msg from a very good friend of mine named beelian..

the msg said that cass was at ttsh bcoz she got hit by a bike. she told me that her right arm was hit n she was in the BANDAGING ROOM ( is there such room?) and was having her arm bandaged.

so i got shocked.. at that point of time, my mind was abt going to ttsh and see how she is. my friend who heard my shocked reaction asked me what had happened. i think there was a change in my face coz he said i looked shocked. den i told him the whole thing.. den i said i wanna go to the hosp.. he said okk...

i called beelian for like 4 or 5 times but she nvr pick up.. which is like weird lah coz i called her probly 10 seconds later after i received her msg. another msg received n she said she put her phone on silent mode ( u spelled it as mood. silent mood? ) and was scared to talk.. which made me suspect that something is not right.

den shariz called me like from far away so i went back to him and asked why. he asked me what's the date today. den i realised it's the 1st of april.

gee... i havent been playing that game u kiddy kiddy girls :P

so hello everyone.. it's been quite a week.. but it was good to have 2 days and a night spent in my group chalet gathering. it's supposed to be 3 days n 2 nights but i had to leave early coz i need to attend sch in the morning on that 3rd day itself. so yah.

so the moment i stepped at the heavenly chalet, i had to start eating. the pressure was really mounting coz Everyone was like...

the Concerned people: "annur, u looked skinny! must eat more ok!"
the Hungry an-nur : "oh i will! i will! dont worry i'll eat alot one!"
the Conc.... : "yes! u must prove it to us ok!

for a really really skinny person, i am surprised by my superhuman ultrafast metabolic rate. i bet chickens are afraid of me now that i am beginning to annihilate their population in an alarming rate. hahah..

not that it needs any prove or evidence watsoever.

anyway, my first thanks goes to Mel for treating me like her own younger brother. not to mention for cooking me lots of chicken wings.. geez, i hope they wont say i looked skinny again. i've heard since day TWO from the start of sch already.. im not in denial.

i've said this to my lecturer regarding my attachment in this Ward 7B.

i said "i really slacked here becoz of the slow-paced environment. i know i'm always missing in action but sometimes there is really nothing to do. "

the 3 weeks has been dreadfully boring. nevertheless, we all know that those last moments or the last day could be something worth remembering.

the coming of the last week which is the last week of attachment has came and i am not gonna celebrate yet until it is over.

gerontology ward. is equal to slow pace and peaceful environment in which it resulted to my slackness in myself. the graph of excitement has increased because of the coming end. the graph of kiasuness has increased because i need to complete my logbook.

i was standing beside his bed n i saw him breathing. he was gasping for air but i know he has been doing that since yesterday.

i was kinda bored but i still stood there looking around the room. i know i had been staring at the wall for quite a long time.

and then i looked at him again but this time he was motionless. i thought he wasnt breathing. i checked his pulse at the neck. there was a faint beat. but it got softer and softer.

vanessa came in and asked me what's going on. n i said "i dont know but im checking his pulse."
she said " how come the airbag is not deflating and inflating continously?"

it should deflate and inflate continously if he's breathing.

i checked the airbag and there was a hole. the bag had burst. but i remembered seeing the bag inflate and deflate when i was standing beside him.

i checked the pulse again but there was no pulse.

he had passed away in front of me.

in this pic, i dont really want to show off my Thing but instead i would like to show u my round stomach. i cant believe how thin and skinny i am today. ppl say my metabolism rate is very good so i guessed what they said is true.

taking long walks at the beaches is kind of calming. this explains why i love to go to the beach. Tanning and Swimming. haha!


to graduate after 2 years in kindergarten is a major achievement for me. everything looks good on me except for that blue shoes. i dont remember having that shoe u know.

i was really a geek last time. i hate my hair, my teeths and my half-broken specs during this period of my life. this pic explains why i prefer a car rather than a bike. we'll see whether im taking my bike license or not.

being 16 or 17 is really cool i guessed. i think it makes me stronger somehow during this 2-3 years.

FRIDAY

it's official. im not taking the lifesaving test. that means i dont have to attend make-up classes during my attachments coz i know i'll be really tired.

imagine this: u wake up at 5am. off to work at 6 and start work at 7. u finish at 3pm and have to be in sch after that to attend the make-up class at 6pm which ends at 8. u go back and reach home at 9++. u have to sleep by 10 so u can have 7 hours of sleep to wake up at 5am again. if u're lucky, u might start at 1.30 the next day but chances are quite slim i supposed.

one whole day gone.

but last friday's S&W was quite weird. that session, i had to partner with another guy in e same course. we were supposed to do this manoeuvre where we must keep the victim afloat and swim on ur back. this guy (lets called him X) practiced on me first and he got a special way of doing it. instead of swimming back, he walked. that's easy if u wanna do that in shallow waters but what if it is deep? den u gotta have long legs right?? maybe X is Mr. Fantastic and he could stretch his leg to the deepest ocean in the universe.

right.

anw, when it was my turn to practice on him. i found it funny and irritating at the same time. he is like a NATURAL SINKER in the waters. so yah, since he could just sink, it's obvious that he would frantically struggle after 1 nanosecond. seriously, if he could just relaxed and let me do e work, there will be no water entering his nose or mouth. after i gave him my assurance, we made it quite well. he still couldnt do it right though.

CITS presentations was mostly emotional. not gonna elaborate on that.

SATURDAY

sometimes alarm clocks can be unreliable. esp when u really have to wake up very early to attend sch.

i swear i paid attention to the lecture.

met cass after that to do the poly thing. hehhehhe... i must have looked so interested when this lecturer said that she 'sensed' that i have alot to ask her. NOW WE KNOW THAT THERE IS NO COOKING in HTM and LRM. hahaha! took a lot of pamphlets which i i threw it away later Somewhere.

the one with his cousin's birthday

BIRTHday is supposed to be an enjoyable thing. coz we can play musical chairs, pass-the-present thingy and eating loads of food. i only enjoyed eating.

went to my cousin's which is situated near the forest which i remembered that there was some police stakeout on illegal prostitution. yup. anw, reached the house and the moment i stepped in, i could only walked towards the food section. not much of a variety but it was a few of my favourite dishes. chickens was not to be missed.

i got a bit sleepy after i ate so i went to my cousin's room to sleep for a while. i know its not ethical but i think its better to sleep inside rather than showing my drooling saliva infront of other ppl.

sleep for an hour.

woke up again to have a second round of eating.

a little moment of boredom and i decided to play the computer. cousin told me some of the latest songs he downloaded so i told him to email me the list of those songs.

okay... i know looks can be deceiving. its funny how HEIGHT and FEATURES can make the person look very young.

so my aunt and her new husband arrived with 3 other ppl mainly her son, 1 guy teenager, 1 girl child. the guy shaked my hand and the girl child shaked and kissed my hand (in a traditional malay way lah). automatically i thought that these 2 ppl are the products of my new uncle (aunt's new husband). that thought lingered in mind till i just asked my cousin (aunt's son Shahril). he said a BIG NO! he told me they were his friends and said that the guy's age is 21 and the girl is 18.

OKAY. this girl is like 1.4 to 1.5 metre short. her face is those of a primary 3 or 4 girl and he's telling me that she's 18.

TYPICAL guys must have thought she's underage when it comes to sex. now im NOT promoting underage sex and this post is not about sex either. i even bold the word "typical" for you to comprehend the meaning of it. so keep an open mind.

i'll leave u to judge whether im typical or not.

it's monday.

it's a school day.

n i had to start the day thinking that i'll be having Lifesaving Course later from 6 to 7.30. so i started at 10 n we had to do the checking of our FON paper. hopefully, i can pass the exams lah. hahaah..

den NSL. we did the same old thing reflecting on our experiences. i had alot but i just didnt want to share. so yah.

one hour break - i ate chicken rice which make me shit for 10 mins.

we had a new teacher for our PHARM module. she wrote her full name on the board but i only remembered the name Angeline. looked auntie-like but quite ok coz she's quite enthu. rite.

CMBIO lecture by Dr Phang was NOT boring. somehow, her lecture is much more interesting than ronnie's coz she kinda use like tools or toys to explain her lecture. n all of those things are inside a big plastic bag. hahahaha.... its like as if she came back from shopping.

i do not know why i chose lifesaving. we ALWAYS had to the laps first before learning the new stuffs. i dont mind 8 to 10 laps. but it's 16 laps man!! den i will have to vomit again to make myself feel better. so yah... i will confirm vomit everytime there is lifesaving course. if i eat, i vomit. if i dun eat, i also vomit. so how? any solutions to this? den wed's lifesaving will be from 6pm to 9pm. wat in the world.....

i found out that shitting everyday is normal.

the one with his sleepy day

woke up at 4.55 AM n straight to the showers.

i do not like to work on Mondays. now i know that u're gonna guessed that im talking abt monday blues which is in fact true for me. i didnt look forward in receiving the day. after showers, i got into my uniform and had koko krunch for breakfast. den at 6, i went off to the hospital of Tan Tock Seng.

i reached there to find myself still sleepy. i couldnt drink coffee coz it'll make me go dizzy. while we doing reports, a patient pressed a call bell and i attended to him. he wanted to take a shower so i assisted him. not only that i assist him, i took abt 10 mins to sleep while standing.

breakfast was served but i was too sleepy to see the spoon going towards the mouth. so i kept smucking the patients' faces.

today a Sister taught me how to do wound dressing even though i wasnt allowed to do on a patient yet n also michael says we cant do it. but no way im gonna let that stop me. haha.. chey!
basically, it was easy lah. i was trying very hard to stay awake n i think i did pretty well not to let her see my sleepyness.

ate lunch, keep rubbing my eyes, sleep on the couch for half an hour.

i've thought abt this matter when She decided to leave and enter a new course. n then the idea of being a policeman jus sprang into my mind. so i decided to write abt this.

back in my family history, my grandpa on my dad's side was a policeman. my grandpa on my mum's side was a nurse. i knew for a long time that that my grandpa(dad) was a policeman but never have i thought of becoming a policeman. following my grandpa's(mum) footsteps was a decision which i felt is a good one. now that i think that the policeman job is not a bad thing after all, i think i may have to change my next-5-years-from-now plan.

so rite now as in 2006 (i will turn 20 in october), i have made some few changes.

im sure teenagers like me mite never thought abt being a guy in blue before but i dun think its a bad job. i mean, my dad was a Cisco policeman before and he told me handling a Smith is quite cool. i wish sg policeman handle those big guns like Desert Eagle or a Colt .45....

anw, it's jus food for thought.

but if i become one, u'll know in ur heart that the streets will always be safe and secure.

i think im going to have sore eyes soon. or preferably called the yellow eyes disease.

anw, i called it yellow eyes disease cause ur eyes tend to produce those sticky yellow ooze at the corners of ur eyes. n whenever u thought that it's clear after u swipe them off, they will reproduce and reproduce until ur eyes are blinded by yellow stuffs.

n also becoz i had those before.

1st lesson - Optrex eye drops didnt work on me.

2nd lesson - do NOT ever see a couple who make out in the bus. for watever reason, avoid seeing them.

3rd lesson - dun criticize the banglas, they can type good english in sms.

the one with his past 2 months

as you all know, it has been nearly 2 months since i last blogged. that shows how uncommitted i am in blogging. but the past 2 months have been really sumthing worth remembering.

why?

common tests, projects, friends, funs n Like Life. noticed how come there isnt a word SAD in the list. coz i only felt sad when i failed one of paper in the common test. so yah... should really strive for the best. that reminds me of a primary school song. which goes like this:

"Strive for the best"
"Staff and Pupils all"
"Giving best for our nation's call"

if this blog can talk, i'll definite sing u the rhythm.

projects are NOT like tons or many. they are jus there to keep us busy during the 2 week holiday. OH IM BUSY ALRIGHT! BUSY wif playing soccer n doing bits and bits of housework.

friends and family have been great. they are the ppl who always make me look forward to tomorrow everyday.

i m looking forward to tomorrow where i'll be going out wif someone whom i feel really fun with!

the one with his coming of the first day

its 11.19pm and e hours are counting down to the first day of sch in e 2nd semester... yes. tomorrow is sch day.

my timetable is not that bad. most of the days, i start at 8 except for monday which i will start 10.

monday - 10am to 4pm
tuesday - 8am to 4pm
wednesday- 8am to 3pm
thursday - 8am to 6pm
friday - 8am to 12pm

so yea its not that bad considering my friends who will have to go back at 6pm for the 3 days of the week. but im sure they'll get use to it like they do in the previous timetable. for watever reason, they should be patient. haha... nurses are patient people ok! hahaha!

sometimes i think i need an opinion on what type of haircut i should choose. coz i seriously have a malfunction judgement when it comes to hairstyle. i tried the spiky hairstyle which i thought made me looked like a bloody gangster. or an ah beng.

now, i got this high-slope hairstyle which a part of me tells me that i looked like a smart ass while the other part of me says i looked like a stupid geek. maybe not stupid. i shall use the word 'nincompoop'. so erwina, if u're reading this, i hope u can give me ur recommendation on hairstyles. thx!

i have got to buy my hair wax.

the one with his month of fasting

the fasting month is not really over yet... n i cant help but wonder how fast it has been since i started fasting on the 5th of october. while waiting for hari raya, i must admit that i didnt do much in receiving the occasion. i got a week of CA to replace which turns out to be the best week of my life. helping those nurses out really helped me realised how useful i could be. hahaha...

anyway, i didnt help my mum to make any KUIHs or cakes.. i thought i didnt want to bother my mum or sumthing doing these kind of baking. but i seriously wouldnt mind help her out in cleaning the house. yeah... so far, we havent put on the curtains, havent changed the cushions of sofa, havent changed the cushions of dining chairs. that means we havent really started.

the spirit of raya havent been fully absorbed by me yet. i mean.. its like suddenly the fasting month jus came over and hari raya is looming soon. I WASNT PREPARED.

but whatever it is, 30 days of fasting will make me more slimmer! hahahaha!

the one with his CA

one week of Clinical Attachment (CA) has gone by and i knew i was having fun. disturbing, making jokes and sometimes share stories with the patients. that is if the patient can communicate with u.... coz for those who cant, doing sign language wouldnt help u...

anyway, first day was orientation which was quite good i must say. the clinical educator was quite enthusiastic so that didnt bore us to the death. a tour was a must coz u dun wanna get lost in the 2nd biggest hospital in sg. i dont know which hosp is the biggest but im sure its NOT that BIG coz singapore is so small. anyway, we were assigned to our ward. mine is ward 5D... so for those who know me, feel free to visit me and u can get a free infection of dengue. yeah... free of charge.

4 days of morning shift wasnt that all bad. except that u have to wake up at 5. i mean i usually wake up at 6.30, went out at 7 and reach sch before 8. THIS was an exception coz the shift starts at 7. so woke up at 5, went out at 6 (1 hour for shower and breakfast altogether) and reach TTSH before 7.

rite now, im even feeling great that my life has had some great moments.

im not regretting every moment of it.

btw, there was some great learning... but i knew some of u wouldnt understand the medical terminalogy and the meaning of COPD, and also the consequences of when u handle patients with MRSA without any safety precautions.

unless of course... u're a nurse...

but dun worry, nurses do explain on their work. so make a date and i'll tell u everything. every single thing.

the one with his AAP practical test

seriously, my schmates are getting too paranoid in their revision. got too nervous n develop frustrations towards themselves and others. and yeah, a slightest provocation or disturbance can cause them to growl at u. well, i didnt get any growling but i could sense the heat...

anw, it turns out that the prac test wasnt that difficult. i know and im very sure that anyone can pass the paper. to those who didnt pass, i know u have been missing some important lectures and dun even bother to study for it... yea.. still, exams in 2 weeks time n yessss, i've start my revision.... woah! a major revision of all my modules..

i know i could pass this prac test... it would certainly help me to pass the major exam.. glad that i didnt fail the common test coz i would have to resit the paper which was held today...
while im writing this blog, a fren of mine jus signed in the msn with the nick "STRESS period...!!!". relax lah my fren... N today, i kinda felt relieved after i had finished my presentation of a sch project.

i've gotta admit. i am a very lucky person. im fortunate to have this opportunity to represent my Course, my Department, and my School to attend the Poly Forum 2005.

its gonna be a good week of interacting with Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Minister of Education of Singapore.

i never expected to get into this.... well, during the morning of my 1st day of sch since the attachment, Dr Ronnie made an announcement that 2 students of my course have been selected to attend the forum. imagine the surprise i had when he announced my name in front of everyon in the lecture thearter. every schoolmates of mine applaused.. another one was a girl... n i think she's the type who's very open and easy-going... so good for us!

the forum will be conducted in sg and jb.. in jb, the place that is conducting the forum is called Sofitel Resort... nice place but its like in the middle of nowhere.. i've been there b4 as i went there for my student leaders seminar conducted by NP.

i foresee that it'll be a very good experience for me as i get to interact with students from all the other polytechnics.. we'll be discussing matters such as World Awareness, Entrepreneurship, Social Awareness and many more... it'll make me better inform of the world issues..

looking forward for that week and will share the best of my knowledge to u ppl..

ppl, imagine u saw a nurse wif a long face... n u kinda need help about your problems, so will u think twice abt seeing that nurse?

i couldnt understand why there's this NURSE in AMK polyclinic pulled a long face since i started my attachment there. i can swear i never see her smile since i started. jus got to know that she scolded one of my frens bcoz she was moving around, seeing the patients getting their dressings.. and getting their wounds bandaged... she was told to "stand in a corner when making observations and not to peek around"...

what??!! stand in a corner and make observations?? i honestly believed its stupid to do that...

sheesh.... stand in a corner and make observations from there....

i mean, theres many ways if u wanna learn something new... BUT we shouldnt jus stand there and make OBSERVATIONS only... we should ask questions too (when the nurse isn't busy)... we could also talk to the patients..

whats the deal wif u, nurse? i dont understand ur problem.. really..

and whats the deal of a nurse to argue with the patient??????????????????????????

the one with his outing

first of all, the outing was held on the 13th of july,wednesday...

episode 1:
the outing had already began in the morning... i accompanied my mum to go johor... mum actually woke me up at 9, n told ask me to accompany her to go johor. but i told her that im going out with my friends in my most sleazy "jus woke up" dialogue... which goes like this

"mummff, im goin... out laterzzzzzz"....

she didnt heard that so that was my fault... anw, i msged rai that i was gonna be late... n followed my mum to the land of cheap stuffs... its a tradition for my family to eat first just as u passed after the checkpoint.. haha.. so we head to Kotaraya Complex and have our lunch.. mum had a simple mee rebus while i enjoyed the sumptuos meal of chicken chop... the black pepper sauce was quite funny but i was hungry anyway.. finished the whole thing except this funny looking leaf that was decorated on the dish... after lunch, we head to Komtar to buy my mum's groceries.. i really thought it was gonna be a lot... but mum jus bought cooking oil, seasoning packet and milk...

"is that it???" i asked my mum.

"that's it" she said coolly.

next time if we go johor, i'll be sure to remind my mum that she must buy at least 10 stuffs..

i also forced mum to buy me a shoe... and its really a nice red canvas shoe... i like it very much... makes me looked a bit stylish.. :P we went home after that... it was nice to go out wif mum... i could not stop teasing my mum too... hahaha! i love u mum! (i know i dont always show it but i really do love u)

episode 2:
i met the others (riana,rai,has,sab,ash) at abt 4.... really sorry guys and thx for waiting for me! all of them were sitting on the staircase at orchard mrt having snacks of the Famous Amos cookies.. it was damn nice, coz its been a while since i had cookies.. yum yum!! n i also noticed that rai and riana has already gotten their "tote" bag... it's very beautiful and it does looked beautiful on me too.... check out the pics ya!! anw, riana wanted to buy shoes.. so she decided that we should all go to Charles & Keith at Plaza Singapura...
but we went to Heeren first.. check out the outfits and accessories there... and i fell in love with the designer blazers displayed at one of the shops there... imagine wearing a simple t-shirt, jeans and a blazer to wrap it all up... i will really looked delicious.... hehe... im gonna make a deal with dad to get me one if i passed this semester... this jacket will be the love of my life.. muacks!

after much walking around, we went to PS to check riana's shoes... but it turned out that the size was unavailable... sorry riana... better luck next time... go and check at Tampines Mall lar!! hahaha...

rai got her mum a handbag... it was a really a vivacious handbag... i liked the soothing colour.. i think its some sort of very light brown... worth the 35 bucks...

den we had our dinner at BK... we had a reflective session chat... talk abt ppl, more ppl and a lot of ppl... mind u, not gossips.. jus professional opinions... based on facts...

it was time to go home... n evryone was tired.. maybe except for me... evryone will be hping to see each other after 2 weeks coz we'll be having our clinical attachment during the two weeks...

the one with his seminar

as the title suggested, i went to the NATIONAL YOUNG LEADERS' DAY that was held today. i was nominated to be one of the student leaders anw...

i woke up at the sound of my hp alarm which was at 6am... had my shower and breakfast (rice n fish)... since i hav to meet the other 8 selected nominees at 8.30, i went out at 7 only n reached the meeting place at 8... too early huh... but hey, at least im getting better in my punctuality... n i have developed a belief that lateness should not be tolerated.. hahaha.. but being the patient guy i am, i dont intend to spoil the mood... in fact, everyone should enjoy the seminar without feeling pressurised that the fact they are student leaders (who are supposed to be punctual)... anyway, there was only one latecomer.... and two ppl didnt come... they told me they had something important :)

the seminar started wif a BANG! a group of breakdancers started to dance around on the platform... showing their breakdancing moves.. n they were really good... reminds me of my time when i used to breakdance alot wif my sec sch mates... now a bit relax... wakaka!

den came out the host who welcomed us... a brief introductory of what will be going on... after that, he introduced the organizer.. a young and vibrant man who is full of energy... i think he's like the chairman of the YLF (young leaders foundation).. he started saying his piece... with a lot of funny slangs... the most prominent one will be the word 'society'... it became 'se sai ty'... n evryone repeated it after he said that word... it was funny.. anw, after tolerating his slanged talking, he introduced us to the first speaker..

Dr William Tan

This guy is great. really. i admired his strength. despite his disability of the leg, he did the most amazing thing when he completed 7 marathons in 7 continents in 70 days. imagine that! well, he rides on the wheelchair and push his wheels from the start until the end of the finishing line. his history was a sad one.... i mean, he couldnt use his legs at the age of 2!! n he still live on... crawling to move around, getting diseases on his legs....
when he went to kindergarten, he was bullied by the other kids.... he told us how one kid smacked his head and den ran away... well, he couldnt chase them but he improved on catching their hands when they were about to smack him.... he told us he bite one of the kid's hand.... hehehe... and den he got expelled... expelled from kindergarten... hehe... he laughed when he told us that... the most amazing part will be the one when he got into RAFFLES INSTITUTION. he dare to dream big... n he did it... for that, i gave him a standing ovation.

the one with the treasurer

well, the news has got out.. n its confirmed that i became the first treasurer of the Health Sciences Society. Initially, i aimed for the president post.. but im already very happy that my new friend was elected to be the president. anyway, im satisfied that im one of the Executive Committee of the new Health Sciences Society. it's newly formed.. and we're trying not to be over-ambitious with our visions and try to take things slowly in an organized way.. guess what? im the only malay guy in a group of 5 Ex-co members... hehe :)... at least, i culd be the middle-man btwn the malay students and the society... not only the malay students but also the chinese and indians too.... ultimately, i wanna be friendly wif evryone... hopefully, we'll be able to promote a better image of nursing in the eyes of singaporeans... :p

our first project is to organize a BBQ function for the HS students... we want to make the students interact and be closer... although there 168 students in the cohort.... only 1/3 of them will be going... i know the list is not that many but its better than nothing.... if all goes well, i hope those students will tell their friends how fun it was... and of course, we'll try our best to make a bigger function... perhaps a dinner and dance... maybe we should launch that at the end of our semester.. haha!

we still got time... so we'll do it slowly... and slowly, we'll make our name of the society better..
